Construction case of carbon dioxide gas expansion in Shenluogou Clay Mine, Yongchuan District
The Shenluogou Clay Mine is located in Qiezi Bridge, Chenshi Town, Yongchuan District. The mine has a reserve of 1.6 million cubic meters, mainly composed of sandstone and limestone. The annual mining volume is 400,000 tons, and the main products are gravel and stone powder. Due to the large number of residential buildings around the mine, in accordance with the regulations of safety construction requirements, pyrotechnic explosives cannot be used for mining in this mine. For the past two years, mechanical methods (such as gun hammers and excavators) have been used for mining. The cost of mechanical mining is relatively high (28 yuan per ton), and the output is low, which cannot meet the market demand. There is often a situation of supply falling short of demand, which greatly affects the economic benefits of the mine.
On December 2, 2019, Chongqing Chuangpuda Machinery Technology Co., Ltd. conducted a detailed on-site investigation of the mine, formulated a scientific mining plan, and suggested that the mine adopt the new mining construction method of carbon dioxide gas expansion cracking. Moreover, three consecutive gas expansion cracking constructions were carried out in the mine, and the results were all very good. This product uses the principle that solid carbon dioxide (dry ice) expands over 600 times through vaporization transformation and generates a tension of 270 megapascals to achieve static cracking of rocks. Moreover, when the gas expands, there are no vibration waves, shock waves or heat energy, nor do it produce toxic or harmful gases or flying rocks. Therefore, it has been recognized by mines for both safety and economy. General Manager Zeng and General Manager Chen of the mine immediately purchased carbon dioxide products for construction, replacing the traditional mechanical mining method.
Since the adoption of the carbon dioxide gas expansion cracking construction mining method, the daily output of the mine has directly increased from 2,000 tons in the early mechanical mining to 6,000 tons, with a daily output growth of 300%! It has greatly enhanced the economic benefits of the mine; Meanwhile, due to the relatively low construction cost caused by the expansion of carbon dioxide gas (slightly higher than that of civil explosives), a single carbon dioxide gas expansion pipe can tear 40-60 cubic meters of rock, rapidly reducing the mining cost of the mine (only 6-7 yuan per cubic meter), achieving the maximization of profits.
The carbon dioxide gas products of Chongqing Chuangpuda Machinery Technology Co., Ltd. have been widely applied and promoted in 6 mines (especially the Honglu Town mining area) and 9 earthwork sites in Yongchuan, achieving good economic and social benefits. At present, 24 districts and counties in Chongqing are using the carbon dioxide gas expansion products of Chuangpuda, including the tunnel excavation of Chongqing Metro Line 8, the earthwork of Hebijin Expressway, the subgrade leveling of Malong First-Class Highway, the construction of Yunyang Nankuai Expressway, and the underground mining of Longjiao Coal Mine in Fuling ————. More and more mines and earthwork sites are applying this new mining and construction technology.
